I am an Assistant Professor with a Ph.D. in Range Management, focusing on Soil, Vegetation, and Animal Interactions (SVAI). This includes the use of traditional approaches as well as novel rangeland technology application. AI plays a critical role in developing user-friendly plant identification dashboards/apps, intuitive remote sensing image classification and interpretations, animal populations and behavioral analysis, and evaluating and integrating environmental factors for rapid response to management practices. As an Extension Specialist, my focus is to provide producers, land managers, and agency personnel with the tools necessary, through AI, to monitor rangeland conditions and develop management objectives that enable sustainable use.
