Melinda Cuilty joined Academic Technology in early 2022 as a Graduate Assistant, and now she is an Enterprise Instructional Technology Administrator and the innovative VR Lead. Since taking on this role, she has helped drive a remarkable 400% growth in the VR department. Her expertise lies in implementing and managing various VR applications, many of which incorporate advanced AI components. In addition to her VR leadership, she provides faculty support for Canvas and Zoom through the Academic Technology open lab, presents technology workshops for faculty and graduate assistants, and is an accomplished course developer. She is currently applying her instructional design skills in the development of a series of asynchronous short courses for Academic Technology. Melinda earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Northern Arizona University. She earned a teacher licensure in Secondary Education with an endorsement in History. She recently completed her master’s in education (Education and Design with Learning Technology), from NMSU. For over 10 years, Melinda worked in multiple synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid teaching positions.
