I’m an assistant professor in the CS department as of Fall 2025. I earned my Ph.D. from the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to this, I earned an MSc. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southampton (UK), an MSc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Glasgow (UK), and finally a BSc. in Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics from the University of the Aegean (GR).

My current research agenda is on understanding the nature and dynamics of human-AI interaction and collaboration. Particularly, I explore various exciting questions, such as how to effectively model the knowledge, behavior, and expectations of humans, and how to explain the decisions of AI systems to human users in a natural fashion. I draw and combine ideas and techniques from several fields, such as classical AI, machine learning, as well as philosophy and cognitive psychology. My work has been featured in premier AI conferences, and I have also been organizing workshops on explainable AI at various conferences for the last 5 years.
